Information

Useful Info

The wedding is taking place in St Nicholas Church which is on the High Street in Elstree, Herts. This is next door to Schopwick Place, where the reception is being held (how convenient!).

We therefore recommend that guests might like to get a taxi to the church from your hotels and we will have a car available in the evening to take guests back to their hotels.

Alternatively, there is space for a limited number of cars in the school car park (behind the church down St. Nicholas Close.) We would really appreciate people using this and not parking in front of Schopwick Place.

Please note that this village church is not expansive and ushers may need to squidge people up to fit us all in! The service is at 12.30 and we would recommend that guests arrive by 12.15 to ensure that we can seat everyone. If you want a good view get there early to bag your place!

Shuttle Service

For those people staying at the Corus hotel there will be a taxi shuttle service to the church that will be available from 11.30am to 12.15pm

If you are just staying on Saturday evening then you could drop off your bags at the Hotel first and then use the taxi.

Fancy a boogie?

Our DJ is very happy to play any songs we want, so if you have a favourite tune to get down to, let us know and we'll try to add it to the play list

Weather

Please be sunny

Whilst we can't guarantee you sunshine, we are getting married on the summer solstice (21 June). On this day the sun is overhead at its nearest point to the UK, above the Tropic of Cancer, so even if it's raining it should be nice and warm!

This is the longest day of sunlight in the year with over 16 hours of sun and over 18 hours of daylight. The sunrise in London on our wedding day will be at 4:42 a.m. (with twilight at 3.55am!) and the sun will set at 9:21 p.m. (with twilight until 22.10pm).
